MPEM Testing with no engine??

I got a ski with a bad motor and concerned I might have other issues.
Is there a way to test mpem(be able to get beeps or other signs of life)

Can I hook up positive wire form mpem to battery then run two grounds(one to the mount and other to starter)

That way I can see if start button makes starter work or when I put in key I hear the beeps??

tried searching for answer but couldn't find specifics????

You can do the ohms test in the manual but without the dealer ignition tester thats all you will be able to do, plus i dont think the mpem plays a part in the starter system.

Yep I been doing a lot of searching and ski needs to be more complete or try or in another ski....
Theres was a good write up on testing ea wire.

Wanted to cover basics to see if I would get the two beeps or nothing.
