About to scrap this dam thing. I was having issues with the ski's idle (cutting out), acceleration, top speed, as well as the engine cutting out at full throttle. To address these problems, I cleaned/rebuilt the carbs, changed ALL the fuel lines (no gray ones anywhere), cleaned fuel filter/selector valve, changed spark plugs and battery, ran some Startron through the engine. Last time I took it out, the idle problem was solved, and it was able to reach top speed. However, the acceleration is WAYY slower than it used to be out of the hole, and takes about 10 seconds to even start moving at a decent speed. In addition, the engine is still cutting out at full throttle if held for an extended period (I'd say around a minute). Out of water it runs great, hits rev limiter immediately and idles great. Don't know what the hell is wrong with this thing. Nothing is obstructing the pump/impeller. Any help appreciated

Did you check the compression on the engine???Should be 150 psi but 130 is ok.any less time for a top end rebuild...also the difference between the two cylinders must not be more than 10 percent. if that checks out you need to check the high and low speed needle adjustments. You said you cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, make sure you set them to factory specs. low/speed is 1 3/4 turns from closed and highspeed needle is closed...where in ny are you?im in the bronx...

Compression is good on both cylinders, 139 in one and 140 in the other. I'll definitely have to check out those high/low speed adjuster needles though. I'm on long island man not sure if you're familiar with the area but im in Suffolk county, town of huntington
