Maiden voyage, all dead

Hey all. Took my newly purchased 2001 Sporster LE out for a maiden family voyage, all was going well when I noticed my tach and odometer starting to drop, but the engine was still going fine so I thought nothing of it. Stopped for a sec, turned off the engine and after a few went to go, placed the DESS on and nothing, no beeps or anything.
Towed it to shore, checked the battery which was fine as the bilge and nav lights work but still no beep beep.
Any suggestions?

No, the challenger of the same year had duel 717 engines, or a merc.

I'm going to suggest checking out the DESS post. Here is a guide with instructions. http://www.seadooforum.com/showthre...em-troubleshooting-guide&highlight=mpem+guide All the DESS stuff should apply to your boat. Breeze through until you get to the part about the post.

I ended up taking it in as there were other problems. The power cut was due to a ground wire that came off. Easy fix, but frustrating to find.
