I have a 2004 seadoo gti 700 that keeps blowing diodes. When I replace the diode it will start working then it shorts out again any ideas?

Check/Change the rectifier. Is the ski blowing fuses? I am assuming you are going into the ECU and replacing the diode. If so, you are my hero. :) I had a 1996 SPI that shorted everything out and blew the diode. :) I too dug in and found the diode and replaced it (see below) What a pain!! LOL Anyway the root cause was the rectifier was bad (shorted). Once I replaced it... viola !! I'm not an electrical guy but am becoming a bit more proficient. Good Luck.

NOTE: What I did was connect wires to the diode terminals inside the MPEM and made them long enough for easy access to replace the diode if it failed.
