just bought a 96 XP

I just bought a 96 XP. What engine came in these and how do I find out what is in mine? assuming they had different size engines??
This ski has a broken RAVE valve and also will need a piston replaced. any suggestions on where to get the parts and should I go aftermarket new or factory used??

If you have a RAVE engine then it is the tilted 787, first take compression and examine fuel/oil systems carefully as this is what burns up the engine - you could spend several hours repairing the effect and never know the cause of the problem, search here about each topic and sort thru to fit your year/motor, once you spend the time to fix the original problem your breakdown drama will turn into more fun time.
