My 1994 GTX is now running again after a piston/ring replacement and carb tear down and cleaning (the previous owners burned a hole through the mag piston no doubt from the old gray fuel lines). I ran a little less than a tank of gas (40:1 pre-mix) along with the original oil system. During the rebuild I cleaned the oil tank and replaced all of the oil lines. Now I am not sure I am getting enough oil through the injection system. The oil level dropped about 3/4" to 1" for 1 tank of gas. Does that sound right? I notice an air bubble in the tiny tubing on the front (mag) cylinder. The rear (pto) oil line looks full. I tried reaching in and opening the oil pump at idle expecting to see smoke pour out. I did not notice any change. Do you think the oil injection is working correctly?

You can test the pump with a drill. Its burning oil obviously so its probably fine. See if you can squeeze the oil bubble out.
