Good morning,

Thanks to everyone who helped with replies to my other threads on my 2005 GTI. After a couple of weeks of troubleshooting, and replacing parts, I had her out on the Lake for about an hour. What a journey.
After getting the electrical problem fixed, and hearing those two beeps every time I put the key on the thw DESS post, I had to fix the Oil Injector cable and re adjust the cable. Then I had to address the Fuel/Oil Lock that was happening. What a mess that was. I took out the plugs, put a rag over the spark plug holes and cranked it over for a few seconds then redo the cycle over until I finally got it to crank. It was full of Oil. I moved it outside and cranked it up with water to the flush connector. Man, did it smoke. I did a couple of cycles of stopping it and starting it so I would have issues running it out of the water.
After I was convinced that she would crank and run stable, I took her out.
I don't know how long the guy I bought it from had it in his garage, but the crap that came out of the exhaust was ugly. All oily sludge. My driveway is a mess.
Appreciate the help. Cheers, George
