Hello guys. I just picked up a 2004 GTX 4-Tec Supercharged and absolutely love it. I've never owned a Seadoo but I have owned other other manufacturers. At any rate, I bought this guy today after putting it in the lake and spending an hour with it. Rides great, runs great, sounds great, etc.
Upon getting it home, I wanted to go over it a bit more at my own pace so I installed a hose into the fitting and started it and that was what I am starting this thread about. I've never had one out of the water running very long so I just wanted to make sure this noise is either normal or something easily fixed.
The best way I can described it is a rattling sound. Obviously the sound is tainted by exhaust but I hear a metal on metal rattling sound. When you shut it down, you can hear it right as the drive stops. See if you can make heads or tails of either of my videos and flood me with your opinions.
Thanks,
CCW
