Is this a problem?

It’s actually the ground for the rear electrical box. Without it the ski won’t run.

Have you taken the VTS motor out and tried spinning it with a direct 12V source? If the motor is shorted, it will blow the fuse. The VTS modules(housings) go bad as well... Hopefully it’s just the motor though, as they’re easy to replace.

I've taken it all apart. Motor spins in both directions when hooked to 12v. Boot wasn't torn. Inside of vts unit is clean and dry looks brand new. It blows the fuse before I can even hit the up or down buttons.

Well unfortunately it sounds like you may have a bad module then... You can either look for a good used housing or use one of the trim fix kits. I think Westside Powersports keeps good used ones in stock, so I’d check with them...

Ya that's what I'm afraid it is. The only thing I haven't tried is putting a new fuse in with the vts unit unplugged. If the fuse doesnt blow that tells me it's the module right? Or it's not gonna blow the fuse cause nothing's hooked to it so it would be a waste of time?

It would only tell you if you had a short in the wiring prior to the module. It’s worth doing since you’ve got to replace the fuse anyway, but I have a feeling it’s not going to blow until you plug it in...
