Is this a problem?

My gas light is always on..i made the assumption that its just a dummy light its always been on. Today i noticed for the first time that once in a while all of the lights are lighting up at the same time..this has never happened before.it seemed to happen at wide open throttle. They all light up at once and then turn off. Is this a code for anything or should i ignore it? thanks for an help guys. Ski is a 96 gti.

It could be loose wireing, not zip-tied secure. I suggest you check voltage, then start engine and check again at about 5500 rpm. Post result. This is Rectifier test.
