So I recently put some major seat time on my 96xp with the 85/88 nozzle setup, while I enjoy the tighter turning and better thrust, I find it is harder to turn the bars while under power.

Is this common?

When on the trailer everything moves smoothly but it really has to be manhandled around the corners.

Hmm.... Man I can't really say the nozzle setup made mine that much harder to steer.... It definitely rides a little tighter in the corners, but can't say my steering effort had to increase much over stock...

Hmm, I wonder if anyone else will chime in. The nozzle is easy enough to change. I should just swap back to stock and see how it feels...

I like the stock steering nozzle behind the r&d reduction nozzle I run a 83m nozzle stock pitch solas stainless 60miles an hour all day at 6950 rpm the r&d steering nozzle fights the jet to steer so the harder on the trigger the harder to hold the bar in corners I bet you will leave the stock one

ps use red lock tight on the nozzle I have one at the bottom of the lake this year already had to steer with my feet about 8 miles back to launch kinda ended my day short

That's some good advice, I like my setup the way it is now, but I may try your suggestion on the stock nozzle and see if Iike that setup...
Chris maybe you can try that out and let me know, it will be awhile till I can hit the water
