Impeller and Pump Installation

I will be getting my impellers back from Impros today and will be installing them and the pumps on my 2000 14' challenger boat. When I removed the pumps from the hull, there were no loose gaskets, or caulking holding them on, they came off very easily. Do I need to use any sort of sealant when re-installing?

Also, the manual says to use seadoo synthetic oil for the impeller shaft. Is there a substitute oil that I can get at my local parts store instead of driving 30 miles to the dealer?

Any other tricks I need to know?

Thanks

any synthetic 75w-90 will work.

For pump, the "lip" extending past the pump, is part of the wear ring, this causes the "seal" to happen. Not bad idea, throw a neoprene in there.
