I just picked up a 01 GTX today. Ive done some searching, but cant seem to find the problem Im having. The battery was dead. I put a new one in, and tried to start it. There was no gas in it, and it told me that. So I fueled it up. When I attach the lanyard it beeps one long loud beep (not the 2 short beeps Ive heard on youtube vids Ive watched). The gauges light up and then they go blank again. When I press the start button it beeps, and the gauges come on to there normal display. I can scroll through every thing. Every time I hit the start button it just beeps. If I hold the start button down it beeps repeatedly until I let off. Now there is a chance the guy gave me the wrong lanyard. He had another ski. I have not seen KEY on the gauges though, so I don't think that's it. Can anyone help me out.

Become a Premium Member and have acess to our library and master technical help section. Read the shop manual specific to your ski year/model cover to cover to understand the jargon, how things work, and use the seach function box and the microphishe for pics of the internal parts breakdown. one beep means mpem not reading the key's embedded code. Clean and re-try.
