How to bypass dess in a 717 engine. the picture below has 3 blue circles the red and yellow wire on the bottom going from the mpem to the starter solenoid cut that. the other red and yellow wire that is connected at the top disconnect. leave the red and yellow wire from both sides of the mpem hanging side and bottom. Connect the red and yellow from the starter solenoid to the long yellow and red cable that we separated the one not to the mpem, and connect them. the last circle needs disconnect to start. Now with deleting the dead the start/stop button only works with start now you cannot stop it with the button. to get it to stop connect the red and black wire or touch them together that we disconnected you can run a wire from both sides of the connection to a start stop switch or a pull lanyard hope this helps.
