On my 1997 GSX, if the Oil wasn't being pumped into the engine, does engine failure occur quite quickly? Is it a matter of minutes, hours or days? The reason why ask is that I've replaced my Oil filter recently and bled the system and their are no air bubbles in the 2 thin oil pipes, but that's no guaranetee that the pump is working? I know i could change the pipes (so i can see the oil initially moving) or even do the
pump test with the pump removed. I've taken the SEADOO out for a day since the service without any problems but for peace of mind is that enough time to determine that the oil pump is working?

Thanks for any comments

Believe me it will be minutes not hours or days. Any time I work or replace anything that requires disconnecting anything to do with the oil system, I premix the first fuel to be run through the engine, and I make the oil level on the oil holding tank, and make sure that the level has gone down substancially before trusting that the system works.
