How can I find my engine size on my two sea doo skis

I just bought. 97 gtx and a 98 gsx Ltd and I wanna know where I can find the engine size, or EIN on the motor so I know what motors I have cause I keep seeing, especially the gsx, has a few engine options that came in it

97 GTX has the 787.If 98 GSX is truly a Limited it has a 951.

Ok but is there somewhere on the actual motor that says this so I can be sure cause I know the last owner said the gsx was bored out when it was rebuilt but I wanna make sure the original engine is in it

Often times, there is a metal tag riveted to the engine somewhere that states the actual engine size (amongst other info), however time and age may make the tag unreadable.

The shop manuals say...the 97 GTX is a 787. The 98 GSX Limited is a 947.

If the GSX engine is overbored, the only way to know that is someone needs to tell you that, unless you open it up and measure it yourself.

Ok so I did more research..I guess what I’m really asking is how I can find out which model of the GSX Ltd I have..when i am looking for OEM parts there is always 3 different options for the gsx ltd and I wanted to know if there’s a way I can know if mine is the; gsx ltd(5629), gsx ltd(5845), or gsx ltd(5625). Any input on what these mean, or how I can tell the difference, or how I know which one I have would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

First of all....get your hands on the FREE shop manual (free download)....GOOGLE search...its easy

GSX Limited = 5629/5845 = 947 engine.

GS = 5626/5844 = 717 engine (not sure where you came up with 5625?)

I'm not 100% certain what the 5629/5845 actually means...but looking up parts for the 947 engine should get you to the right place.

BTW: The EIN on the 787 is on the carb side of the motor near the PTO. The EIN on the 947 is on the front side of the engine (look down past the cylinder head...might be tough to see it down in there.
