'96XP 5amp blowing

thanks for your time Bill
to disconnect the vts is it just the one harness going to the e-box near the battery?
The cable from the VTS houseing, whether it has multiple connections, D-C all.
Before saying "oh the 5? mpem is bad" these other things can cause the 5 amp to blow.
The purple wire from vts was left connected, it goes to a culpret guage. (bad gauge).
A loose wire in E-box, a shorting wire in the wire loom.
A bad starter solenoid.

Hey Bill it worked i got power THANK YOU SOOO MUCH you saved me BIG BUCKS and a 2 week wait time at the dealer
your the best

Next, when you have the time, determine if the vts motor (1990 nissan zx300 passenger side window motor,$10 at junk yard) or the vts module needs replaced (or gauge, as case may be) in the mean time if motor is good, you can jumper the motors two wires directly to the
battery to middle position and leave it. Usually the boot gets deteriorated and water intrudes the motor. Read this link to learn more.
