Hey guys and gals, just signed up and hoping to gain some info and experience with the sea doo line up. Ill start off with a bit about my self. I am somewhat of an opertunist when it comes to recreation equipment. I have a bad (maybe good) habit of buying broken down equpment and fixing them. There is something that I like about rebuilding older stuff and bringing it back to life. Maybe its a self satisfaction thing, I'm not sure. It all started with a totaled off 08 polaris RZR. I bought it cheap and rebuilt it from the ground up. Built my own custom roll cage and did a few mods. Picked up a wore out 2003 Yamaha RX1 sled and did a complete overhaul of everything but the engine. Those yamaha 4 strokes go forever. Then it was a rolled 2006 Yamaha apex sled. Did prety much the same thing with it. Then came the old wore out 1990 sun tracker pontoon boat. Stripped that right down to the pontoons and built it back up with all new stuff. Right now I am still in the process of finishing a 2001 Honda quad for my son. Still not sure if that is gonna run or not. It literally came with the engine as a box of parts. Im still not sure why I bought that project, it was a ton of work and brain racking to figure out how to put it back together. And now, I just fell into a couple of 1998 Sea Doo XP Limiteds with double trailer, FOR FREE. Cant beat that price. This is where I am hoping that the knowledge of this forum can help me. I have always wanted a sea doo but I know nothing about them, so I'm hoping to gain what I need to bring them back to life. BTW, I still have all of the above vehicles and love every one.
