Please Help! Fuel Injector Cleaner

I have an 05 GTI that I used a half bottle of STP cleaner in. The motor seized on me this week. "verified by Mechanic" I know you are not supposed to use any additives now, however could this cause such a huge issue off only half a bottle? also I have a 08 GTS that I used the other half on. Should I drain it or just use the rest up? Going to the lake in the morning. Please help!
