fuel guage

Just purchased a 2004 sportster 4 tec with 30 hours on it. looks brand new. only problem is that fuel guage doesn't work. any thoughts on a simple fix?

Ditto with Fuel Gauge problem

I have a 2003 Challenger X, and I also have a faulty fuel gauge. Any assistance will help me and lawyerbuilder as well.

The only connection I have found in the wiring harness is on the back of the instrument, and it appears tight. I found a few wires going into what I believe has to be the fuel sending portion of the tank, and there are no connections that I saw.

Should I replace the gauge head, or should I look elsewhere first?

Suspiciously, I just had the marina fix my speedo (head and sending unit)... fuel gauge worked before I dropped it off, and it doesn't after. I'd rather not trailer it to the marina again... the tach may not work after that!
