First off, (as you soon will be able to tell) I am new to the Seadoo/PWC world. Just bought a pair of 2013 GTI 130s a few months ago for my wife and me.
We took the Skis to Panama City Beach this past week. Since this was the first time in salt water, I decided to flush the system. I used the Flushing connector located on the left side next to the drain plug. I used the kit that came with Salt-X ( I think is the name ), that's what my dealer told me to use. First jet ski was done with no issue. The problem came on the second ski. I flushed the system but was not able to get the Salt-X kit unscrewed from the jet ski. I kept trying to unscrew it until I ended up causing the actual built in Flushing Connector to come loose and turn around the hull. I ended up breaking off the Salt-X kit inside the Flushing Connector (yes, I am an idiot – lol)
Now the jet ski is leaking into the hull. I thinking it is because the flushing connector is loose and not sealing around the hull. Any thoughts on how to repair this? I thinking I might have to take it to the dealer, but looking at it – I’m thinking the part might be cheap to replace but the labor to actually change it out could be very expensive… I doubt my warranty will cover this….
Any advice? Or am I the only idiot to do something like this?:banghead:
