took the '90 bombardier SP out on the river after sitting for 7 years. rode it around for about 10 minutes, then a warning sound came on. so i docked it and removed the tether cord to stop the sound. pulled the seat off and smoke came out.

i believe its drawing oil and fuel correctly. although there seems to be a small leak in the oil as there's SOME oil in the bottom behind the bilge pumps. aside from that, i believe my water pump isn't functioning properly? how can i diagnose if that's the cause of smoke and the warning alarm buzzin off. not sure what else could cause the motor to overheat, well atleast i think it's over heating.

i do have the manual, and i will be cleainin the intake and impeller, but just needed to know if there was something else to be looking for.

Oil may be from the INJ pmp to the RV cover nipples have deteriorated, no oil to engine!

couldn't find any corrosion around the RV (gaskets or lines) or any leaks for that matter, or past presence of a leak. checked the intake and prop for any obstructions, and only found a clean jet pump.

very frustrating, as i know there's a slight chance of a leak and an over heating problem!
