Hey all, I’m new here and this is my first post. I’m also new to owning a PWC in general. This will probably get lengthy so I’ll try to keep it short as I can.
I got a 1996 seadoo gts as a project and I’ve been working on it the last month or so. I have no prior pwc experience and very small amount of mechanical experience but I know my way around some tools and can follow directions, so it’s been growing pretty well all things considered.
Things I’ve done: new starter solenoid. New fuel lines. Small fuel tank repair. Rebuilt carburetor with genuine mikuni rebuild kid. Drained all the oil and gas and put new fluids in. New battery obviously.
For reference, It does turn over and I even got it started for about 1.5 or 2 seconds after I replaced all the fuel lines and before I removed the carb for rebuild. So it definitely runs. Just needs fuel at this point.
My current issue: I screwed myself over by not taking pics and vids of the throttle and choke linkage on the carburetor before I removed it. And now the issue I have, and to be honest has me dead in my tracks(enough to make this account and come here for help), is that I have zero clue how to get those linkages back on the carb. I’ll include pics and vids as best as I can get to try to covey the issue im having.
If anyone has any suggestions or links to videos for help that would be great. I’m having difficulty finding videos on this specific issue and im in over my head on this one so any help would be appreciated.
It’s not letting me post a video for some reason which would really help illustrate the issue…
