Finger throttle on gtx sc 2004

Hi. I am new to this forum but dis a bit of searching and can't really fin the answer. So I am looking at converting to a finger throttle but wanted to know why they are so exspensive for the gtx 4-tech and why a normal convertor can't work.

The "normal" ones will work. It is just that it won't look good. Take the Riva one for instance. I have the housing left in place and skipped their cover. It also extends the length of the handlebars. If I want to take the extensions out and just go with the finger throttle itself, I can. I just have to hack up the housing. Will it look nice after I am done? Who can say.
