Engine swap in 1999 GTS

I have a 1999 718 with a bad crank. I was thinking of just swapping an engine instead of rebuilding. That said, I'm wonder what years with the 718 engine will run with the 1999 electronics? Thanks!

A 717 engine is a 717 engine... if your boat has a 717 then get a 717 replacement. The electronics shouldn't matter

The only question is if your boat has single or dual carbs, and if the replacement engine was set up for single or dual carbs
