I have a question/ issue, and I need some help.
One of the engines is making a ticking sound, sounds like a beer can is stuck in the impeller. I took the pump housing and impeller today and inspected it to make sure one wasn't stuck or wrapped up in there somehow. It was clear and the impeller looked great. So, I am thinking it might be the Rotary valve with a crack or something in it. Two years ago, I rebuilt the opposite engine, and noticed at that time the rotary valve had some hair line cracks in it. Not sure how they got there, I assumed it was from the broken piston at that time. Do these rotary valves just crack out like this?
Second issue.
For some odd reason I seem to be losing my sending units one by one. First it was my speedometer, works intermittently at best, and never at full throttle. It will work sometimes at low speed(10 mph and slower). Also I seem to have lost my fuel tank sending unit. Shows that I am on empty constantly. I unplugged it at both connections, and same result. The low oil light still works, thank God, but I really would like for my fuel to work. Also along with all this, my lanyard beeps but very quietly. I replaced the battery last summer, but this summer it seems to be very quiet, sometimes not there. Still starts both engines, just no lanyard single.
Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated
