Hi all,
Last year my 2005 3D had been ridden with no problems and then was left on the lift for a week; when I used it again it would crank but not start. I took it to the mechanic who said the engine was flooded --He told me I had either sunk the ski, flushed it improperly, or towed it improperly. I told him that was not the case --He said he had no other reason for it to flood. He cleaned out the water and had me run a high fuel/oil mix in additon to the oil injection system.
Since then I winterized and started it up this summer with no problems --Then a couple sessions later it wouldn't start. The spark plugs seemed wet --I changed them and no problems. I've run the ski with no problems well over 10 hours since --the last time out, with no warning the ski starting bogging down like it had something caught in the intake --I shut down and then tried to restart and could not get the engine to turn over --back at the shop he said the engine had seized.
Note: I have had both the "low oil" and the "engine warning" lights come on randomly and go off randomly while riding at different times. I keep the oil injection tank full and have had to refill it indicating it was working, I have also noticed fowled plugs on occasion which led me to believe there was lots of oil in the mix.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Rob
