On vacation at the lake, limited resources. #2 94 GTX blew out part of one exhaust manifold to cylinder gasket. Didn't leak any water but leaked exhaust. Got it tore down on the dock lift. Got my to look for new gaskets tomorrow. It appears when I put it together a couple years ago I didn't use any ultra copper on the gaskets. Not sure why, I usually do. Anyway the bolts seemed tight enough but a piece of one gasket still blew out. Going to go back in with ultra copper.

Don't have my book with me could someone please confirm Torque on the 8 bolts please? Also loctite or not? I think the manual calls for grease? Didn't notice anything on the threads so not sure what I did going together.

Thanks in advance trying to get her back together and have some more fun.

Turns out I had saved my manual to my cloud storage so I do have it. Local dealer has gaskets so Im back in business. Nothing like wrenching on a ski standing in the water. Part of the fun I guess.

Got her back together. Like a champ. Tho within 10 mins of running on the water two of the pipe to manifold screws backed out and started filling the hull with water. These things are real buggers. They've been fine for three years. Take them apart and back together now they come loose. Doused em with more blue loctite try it again. Split washers are a little sacked need some new ones I guess.

One thing I noticed tho was there had been a very slight hesitation on the bottom end prior to this exhaust leak. Now it's gone. ????
