I got a 05 RXT, no modifacations. Yesterday I was chasing some trout were the Colorado river dumps into the Gulf of Mexico. I pulled up to were they were breaking the water, shut my engine down, and started thorwing the rod for abit. Decided to take off and I was about 60 ft from the bank and when i cranked up aperently i was in reall shallow water, was hard to tell cause the water was so murky. I pushed out into deeper water. fired her up and could idle speed fine , when i hit the gas it woulld cavatate real bad and would hardly move. I Idled over to the trailer and loaded he up and pulled it out, There was nothing in the impller it looked fine. Headed back to the house and hooked the hose up to start it up and flush. As soon as it fired a damm hermit crab shell blew out the back. Would that damm shell be enough to disrupt the water flow and cause it cavatate that bad and keep it from taking off? I havent droped it back in the water to find out. was wondering any of yalls opinion on this. Sorry bout the long post also i should have just gotten to the damm point!

Yes I have had something similar happen to my ski. After I cleaned it out it resumed normal speeds.
