alright, so i pulled the jet pump along with the drive shaft. i removed the boot, and basically soaked it in pb blaster, and the drive shaft is still stuck inside the impeller housing. i've tried to grip it with vicegrips and unscrew the impeller from the housing that way, but the vicegrips just slip and can't hold on. any suggestions of how to get the driveshaft off? possibly something like hitting it with a torch? but then i'm scared i'll melt the o-rings and seals and such inside the impeller. any suggestions on how to get the drive shaft out of the impeller housing would be great.

I would keep lubing it up once in a while as it soaks. It should come out of there. Use some anti sieze when you put it back together. I would not suggest a torch as that might result in more problems.

okay, so i finally got the drive shaft out. however, now that i have the driveshaft out, i have discovered that the spider spline in the impeller housing is toast. completely worn down, nothing to grab in the least bit. is there any way to remove the impeller from the jet pump housing without any splines to grab onto? or will i have to completely replace the jet pump?
