Does an oil pump leak???

I have a 01 and 02 GTX RFI both with a oil leak seems to be from pump. Started messing around with the 02 first, new 8mm line from tank to pump with new filter, leaks down front motor mount. Changed to a used line just to see with new otiker clamp line is tight still leaks. Does the elbow on the pump leak where it connects with pump? Thanks

I’ve never seen a pump leak. Are you sure it isn’t running down from the tank fitting grommets. They leak all the time.

X2, never have seen the pump itself leak. Have seen tons of oil leaks from hose connections and bad grommets.

Tank grommets look good, it’s leak right on the front motor mount, maybe clamp on line crimped to tight? Did it twice. How about small zip ties on small lines? Where can I get tiny clamps for those? Thanks guys

I use the good small zip ties with the metal locking tabs on the small 3/32” oil lines.
