After successfully, although unintentionally remodeling my impeller and wear ring, I decided to look after the problem myself. Normally, I would be concerned about this endeavor, but with the awesome write ups from people on this site I went ahead and tackled it.
BIG MISTAKE!

Well, in reality, everything went smoothly (so far) but I started to get confused as to what I need for wear ring, prop, pitch, stainless, aluminum and a host of other items that still hurts the brain just thinking about it.
I placed a call to Dave at Impros, and he had to call me back as he had a customer he was just finishing up with. To my (pleasant) surprise, he actually called me back quite quickly. From California (I think) to Northern British Columbia on his dime.
(2 previous US dealers (not on this issue) never bothered to respond in any shape or form)
Dave took the time to walk me through the choices, and spent the next 21 minutes patiently answering my questions. Most verified what I had read here (thanks guys & gals) and made me feel a whole lot better about my choices I was about to make. I did not get the impression that I was being led down the garden path, and when I told Dave that I had to do a bit more research, it was nice to hear his tone didn't drop.
(ps, I DID mention that I had heard about Impros from www.seadooforum.com)
I called him back about 20 minutes later, and ordered a new Solas Impeller and a wear ring. I saved about $140 from the OEM prices, for what I hope improves the general fun I have on this thing.....
Anyways, Time will tell, Dave said it would be shipped today, so I look forward to it getting here soon!
