I'm posting this just for interest - got stranded in the lake last week, machine bogged down and went into limp mode.
Here was my problem:



Obviously a new housing solved the problem. Interesting thing is that the machine is running better than it has in a couple years and sounds like a new machine. The crack must have been developing over the past number of hours of use.
My theory is that it stated when I lost a couple of impeller housing mounting bolts last year, and the stress of that began the failure. That thread is here:
