Hey everyone i was getting ready to take my jet ski out for the first time today i looked one last time to the cooling route hoses well, i compared it to the diagram for the 717 engine and it looks like there backwards ,my question is doesnt the main inlet line come from where you coonect the water hose too ? and also the inlet feed is on left side of cylinder head if looking at ski from the rear facing forward ? they have it opposite now my concern is i wonder how hott it got when they were running it i mean it started right up so far any help i would appreciate it thanks

The cooling water inlet hose from the pump should go to the left side of the cylinder head. I see these hoses switched alot and it does'nt cause any overheating issues.

on the 787 the hose connection is actually the outlet not the inlet, when you run off the hose you are back flushing the system. I assume it is the same for the 717
