For te last 18 months, Ive had a Yamaha SX210 twin jet boat, wonderful boat but too big for me. SO Im going back to Sea Doo (previous was a 95 Speedster) and buying a 2009 new Speedster 150 255 HP sight unseen from a dealer, some quesitons -
1. It has wake tower, is the bimini for the tower worthwhile, it looks teribly small and high up ? Anyone put a regular bimini on a tower boat ?
2. Is trailer wiring plug a flat 4-pin or 5-pin ?
3. What happens if I have to put 87 octane in it in a pinch ? I know its going to happen - do I just stay at low plane until i get back to dock ?
4. Can you put your hand thru the intake grate to pull debris out ?
The single engine with no debris cleanout worries me a lot. The Yamahas have a pull-out plug right over the impeller which works very well.
But they dont have 255 HP in a 1400 lb boat !!!
