Clean flame arrestor/air filter

What is the best way to clean out the flame arrestor/air filter metal screen on a 95 GTX. Thansk everyone.

Remove it from the ski then spray with brake parts cleaner and compressed air.

I take the rubber flame arrestor surround off while doing this, it tends to mishape temporarily if you spray it with any chemicals. It fits kinda loose afterwards. So i remove it when cleaning the metal mesh arrestor.

I clean the rubber with any regular cleaner.
