Choke knob

Any fix to a knob that just turns on the stem? I really don't want to change the cable. 97 GSX

You pull the knob out, you don’t twist it.

On my other 97 gsx and 97 xp if you pull the choke out and turn the knob a little bit it stays out until you twist it back

The normal operation is it to pull out and spring back. It shouldn’t twist to lock.
