i plan on changing the starter on a 96 seadoo speedster. it is the port engine. i would like to know how hard it is, it looks like a pain.
i obviously have to remove the jet (big purple pipe). i know i can pull it out, disassembling things doesnt seems to be a problem for me.
my concern is when i reinstall it if there are going to be any issues, or will it just bolt right back in and be good to go? is there any type of alignment issues i need to worry about?
Any tips whatsoever are greatly appreciated.

I can't speak for replacing the starter, but I just had to do a teardown on my port engine the other day, and the easiest way to access the starter is by removing the exhuast system iteself (i.e. manifold, muffler, jet, etc.) This was my first time ever working on my boat and it wasn't hard for me at all, so don't let it intimidate you.

Thank you sir,
this will definately be my biggest undertaking to date. i think i am looking for a vote of confidence more than anything else lol. im gonna beat it w/ a hammer till its completely dead and then replace.
