carbon ring seal / wear ring

I have a 2000 Sea doo challenger just bought and has no thrust.
Lot of cavitation, i gues what everyone calls it....Where is the Carbon ring?
under the rubber boot by drive shaft. Also i have a small gap between the propeller and wear ring, but not huge, mabe .040...can that be it?

.040 is the wear limit and would reccomend replacement of wear ring.how is impeller? straight sharp blades? might need those too. carbon ring is mounted inside the rubber boot around driveshaft in hull. it rides against a metal collar to seal water form coming into the boat. is inake grate intact?
