What carbs are on the 2002 GTX with 951 motor ? Is it Mikuni BN or Mikuni super BN (SBN) . Think carbs are clogged. Do I need rebuild kits for one or both? I know that sounds like a dumb question, that's cause it probably is:confused: :(:( My scenario ... Drained tank, checked and cleaned fuel valve and the two check valves, pulled tank baffle and filter both ok, had a little deposit in screw off filter, cleaned and reinstalled, O ring is good, checked and blew out lines from tank baffle to valve and return. Only line not checked is out to carbs( did suck on it ) Put in new plugs. Hard starting and once started idles rough and dies occasionally. Will barely accept any throttle, If choke is slightly applied ski will gradually accept throttle and accelerate but will almost immediately sputter and die as if starved of gas. With choke on slightly ski will putter around about 10mph (not sure of revs) indefinitely but will usually die when released. Occasionally when choke is released when accelerating speed will increase and continue running with no choke but will only reach 30mph at full throttle. Damn that took a while to type 2002 Sea Doo GTX 951. Runs pretty darn strong on the trailer

One addition to post. After a trial on the lake the other day, I pulled plugs standing on right (starboard) side. Plug on my right was a little oily and used, plug on my left looked absolutely brand new:confused: Probably ran her for 20 mins, plugs were new when I went out. Both plugs have spark.

Thanks for the piles of helpful info, managed to find the carb types and download manual for them, have kit in hand and will be rebuilding shortly.:banghead:
