dont you have that fan here at the parts section?
I actually have the same electrical problem as seen in that post, every fuse i replace blows up, nothing electrical works
I used to know a girl in Oslo 6
Any why ,
Electrical problems 101 ( My degree is in automotive electrical systems )
The first thing you need to do is start looking for any place the system has been Bastardized. Look for places with electrical tape , and or non original connectors .
Proper connections for Marine applications ( anything exposed to moisture) can be either crimped or the better solidered conectors with heat shrink tubing over them . The best heat shrink tubing will have a thin layer of Hot Glue on the inside These connections will be completely water proof .
Then look for anyplace that the insulation has been torn or cut .
Most people make mofificationd in the area of the radio so you can expect them in the stereo harness. Then they mod the lights . Then they attempt to hook up things like coolers , fans , and amplifyers . Often you will find things nodded in the area of the engine compartment to aid with jump starting or perhaps the addition of a second battery or in this case the addition of a electric trowling motor .
OK So look for anything NON STOCK .
Then go through any connectors you find . look for corrosion . All conectors need to be bright metal on both sides . (To protect after brightening up get a tube of DIELECTRIC COMPOUND ) it is a special form of sillicone grease . This will protect a connection .
The wire to the block and the Starter are the two that bolt on and need to be bright and greased with DC .
When you have done all of this then replace the fuses (have lots of spares )
When the fuse blows , follow the wires and look for things a miss . Go all the way to switches . remove switches and see if it still blows A line to a corroaded switch will blow . If the line blows with the switch removed it is in the line .
Now , a corroaded motor will blow fuses so The Blower motors can be suspect , If the fuse blowes disconnect the blower motors and replace the fuse . Boats have 2 blowers replace the fuse and plug one blower back in , if the fuse blows out that blower is drawing over current , Replace . Then the next blower and repete.
This procedure is the most Non technacal process of elimination .
It can be done with a volt meter and some time and know how using resistance.
Also problem areas can be light sockets with corrosion . reversed pollaritys ect.
If you still have problems , let me know what you are finding and I will do what I can .
