took the ski out for the first time this season, didnt want to start so sprayed starting fluid, fired right up but wouldnt stay ideling, if i milked the throttle i could make it go and it did ok at the upper range but once i let off the throttle it would start to die, as long as i really worked the throttle i could force it to run. any ideas? thanks in advance

Well the first thing is the compression test, then clean water/fuel filter, mark the oil tank to be sure it is drinking and not locking up from mixing oils, the fuel system must be smooth flowing - no steel gas can trash blocking things, once you have the main fuel lines in good working order go inside the carbs and clean the small inlet filters, how about that oil tank, now the motor is drinking?
