I have an older boat hoist for my seadoo challenger that works fine. I’m thinking of replacing the wood boards that hold the boat up. They are covered by something that looks like indoor outdoor carpeting but it seems much heavier. Does anyone know what is typically used to cover these boards to protect the boat and the boards?

There is an outdoor carpet that’s not the cheap turf looking stuff. You can normally find it at normal carpet stores. This isn’t really made to stay submerged. I have some friends that have gotten old fire hose one of them is a foreman and that works pretty well also
Good luck
