Bimini advice

So I have an issue when driving down the road with my bimini mounted up. There is excessive side to side a lot. I was thinking about putting cross poles in, not sure how it would look. I know it will work..just not sure how it will look.

I know they will not move once they are mounted..but not sure how it will effect the engine area opening and climbing off the back when needed.

Red is where I'm thinking about mounting them...

I was worried about the same thing so when I travel I just drop the bimini all the way down and when I get to my location I raise it back up.

Up...or open? Too different things. I never ride with it open.
