Biggest Motor Possible

I have a 1988 i belive 580 spi with the yellow motor, that is shot, and i wanted to put in a bigger motor. Any clues on the biggest size i can go on a direct mount up, or without too many mods? thanks

Hi You can bolt a 720 in that hull.
But there a few things that you will need to do or thinks about.
A 720 has different
1. Carbs and intake
2. ingnition Flywheel, stator and electric box inturnals
3. Pipe or exhaust.
4. Jet pump is larger on a 720 over a 580 you can go with different prop. that may get you by.

so unless you find a running 720 complete that the hull was damaged you will be waisting time and money im sorry to say.

Just buy a cheap ski that has a 720 in it already and save yourself the headache, time and money.
