RESTO Battery drain

1995 seadoo xp Major battery drain went through 3 batteries within minutes while running major spark while hooking batteries up battery light is on

Dead short / grounded somewhere. Damaged or corroded wiring, connector plugs, ...

I was also told that my voltage regulator could be bad as well does that sound familiar?

I've ridden for over an hour on a good battery with rectifier disconnected from ski.

So if you have a good battery, then the ski can run for quite a while without being charged. Not recommended to but during diagnosis of certain things you can.

have the same ski and had the same problem. check 15amp fuse on the mpem and if its good change the rectifier and if that don't work then your looking at a charging bad stator
