I am a new owner of a 2006 GTX 4 Tec. I purchased the machine with a undiagnosed battery drain. I am not up to date with the abbreviated part names but I'll do my best to explain the symptoms.
When the lanyard is off I can hear a popping sound every 30 seconds coming from a black solenoid on the top of the engine. Shortly before the popping sound you could hear a gurgling which I believe is the fuel pump running. This I believe is causing the battery to drain. I've looked at another thread which advises to clean battery grounds. I did so and only located three of them in front of the battery. The problem still exists. I have installed a master battery on off switch until I figure out the problem. Thanks
