Note to self: Remove chain saw wrench, before climbing into back seat, or you will be in the same shape as blackthunder!

Seriously, if I could help you I would. I don't have on like that.

It is amazing to me how that the engineers on these things can make SIMPLE things so hard!

Best luck!

Nate

I just removed mine from my 96 speedster and it 4 bolts over the gas tank and it's a PITA to get the front ones. I had to lay on top of the motors.

I just pulled them and ripped them out. There are 2 long metal bars underneath. I would just velcro the newly covered seats and add an extra piece of material out the rear of the seat. This way you can drill some holes through the fibreglass and have 2 small bolts with washers on them so the seats don't blow out. (Similar to your driver/passenger seats) The material Seadoo uses is horrible !! $200 for just one cushion if you are buying new !!

I am presuming you are talking about a 2000ish Speedster correct ?

Seat replacement

I recovered back seats on an '04, both the back and bottoms.
Had to rip the plastic grommets out (they are like an upholstery clip for car interiors) that hold the hard shell on bottom of seat to the fibreglass boat body. Pry up hard and you will force the grommets to let go. Some I could reuse but had to replace some with new from dealer, I shopped several auto body suppliers but could not get exact length and diameter. Dealer price was different at 2 different dealers, I think someting like $3 -5 each.
