so as a safety measure i want to add a tow valve just incase I need to be towed, i would like to do it safely.. what size valve do i need and where do i hook it up to?

Someone sells a kit. Or.....
You could use a brass ball value or high temp grey PVC ball valve. The ball valve size should be that the smallest inside diameter matches the the ID of the hose. Then a treaded to barb fitting to hose. I would mount this forward of the engine so it is easy accessible. Just before it goes into the IC.

Or. Wrap the inlet to the IC hose with red electrical tape at fwd side of the engine.. Buy a cheap needle nose vise grip pliers and wrap its' teeth and just carry that along. Pinch when needed.

Place it between the pump and the IC. If the oem hose isn't handy when seat is off...replace it w/ a longer one so the valve will be easily reached.

Another tip is to leave your lanyard with the valve should you turn it shut for a tow. This way you will remember to turn it back open before you fire it up.

Some of the pre '09 skis have also installed on the pisser line leading to the J-pipe.

If you place the valve at the more accessible forward side of the engine, you won't need more hose length due to adding length with the valve and hose fittings. No fan belt up there.

.... edit  sorry ...found what I was looking for ... cant delete the post
