99 GTX LTD Oil Leak

Just getting the skis out from winter storage and noticed that my GTX is leaking oil (bottom of the hull is full of it). I've read that both the two-piece oil tank and the rubber grommet under the tank are the usual culprits. I figure I'll pull the tank out and check it for leaks, and while I have it out replace the grommet as well.

Anything else to consider here? In the likely event that it is the tank leaking, has anyone had luck sealing the leak (and if so, how)?

I believe some have resealed the tank, but most would say it’s not worth the trouble. Westside Powersports probably has a good used tank available, and if not they are available pretty inexpensively on eBay. I would bother even attempting to fix the seam when you can replace it for less than $100.00.
